Many aspects of our daily lives involve the role that the USA plays on the global stage. From the agreements over rules that govern agriculture, to the jeans we wear, the television we watch and the wars going on around us - America’s impact on the globe is far reaching. But as this last remaining superpower promotes itself as a model for the world in terms of democracy and freedom, what America claims to be or stand for appears to contradict how it behaves internationally. What can culture or the approach to the rule of law in America tell us about this contradiction?
