Onderdeel: Plant Research International

The executive board of Wageningen UR has appointed prof.dr. Raoul Bino (48) as new general director of the Plant Sciences group of Wageningen UR. Bino succeeds prof.dr. Martin Kropff, who has been appointed Rector Magnificus of Wageningen University and vice president of the executive board of Wageningen UR.

Bino has studied biology at the Universiteit van Amsterdam and got his PhD in 1986 at Wageningen University. Bino has been working at several parts of the Plant Sciences Group and has led several research groups. As from 2003 Bino has been general manager of the business unit Bioscience of Plant Research International. Bino will remain professor plant metabolomics of Wageningen University.
