Wageningen University has a name for innovative and often path-breaking research in the field of life sciences and natural resources. It offers excellent facilities for conducting PhD research.

About 200 students a year obtain their PhD at Wageningen University. A PhD programme consists of both research and study assignments.
The PhD programmes are compiled and coordinated by a collective of seven Wageningen Graduate Schools (WGS) headed by Professor Frans Kok.
Decisions concerning the PhD programme are taken within WGS.
