The Food Economy: Global Issues and Challenges
On 18-19 October 2007 the OECD Directorate of Trade and Agriculture, the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and the Dutch Agricultural Economics Research Institute (LEI – Wageningen UR) organise the 2nd Conference on the policy and research agenda of the future food supply chain, in The Hague, Netherlands.
Key note speakers will address the state-of-the-art in the food economy and provide a perspective for the future. Workshops will be organised around three main themes:
- Value added creation and supply chain management in a globalising world;
- Towards a new food policy: supply chain developments and interactive policy making;
- Transparency and social responsibility in an international context.
