The Food Economy: Global Issues and Challenges
On 18-19 October 2007 the OECD Directorate of Trade and Agriculture, the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and the Dutch Agricultural Economics Research Institute (LEI – Wageningen UR) organise the 2nd Conference on the policy and research agenda of the future food supply chain, in The Hague, Netherlands.

Key note speakers will address the state-of-the-art in the food economy and provide a perspective for the future. Workshops will be organised around three main themes:

  • Value added creation and supply chain management in a globalising world;
  • Towards a new food policy: supply chain developments and interactive policy making;
  • Transparency and social responsibility in an international context.

More information about the congress can be found at www.foodeconomy2007.org where you can have a look at the complete programme and register yourself.
