"High food prices: a disaster for the world, a blessing for farmers?"
80th International Conference on Agriculture and Development (ICAD)
The causes of high food prices, the implications for consumers and smallholders, the opportunity for small farmers to benefit and the possible roles of the public and private sector will be discussed at the 80th International Conference on Agriculture and Development (ICAD).
The conference will be held at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT*) in Amsterdam on 18 November 2008. The key note speaker will be Prem Bindraban (Plant Research International, Wageningen UR) and the chairman will be Henny Helmich (Director NCDO).
The contributing organizations of ICAD 2008 are: KLV (Royal Alumni Association Wageningen), Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), Agriterra, Euroconsult Mott McDonald, Wageningen International and Agri-ProFocus.
