Advance course in the use of participatory approaches for institutional change
Complex problems require innovative solutions. Such solutions are created when diverse stakeholders are able to meet, share experiences, learn together and contribute to decisions. Success is ultimately the result of developing a collective commitment and the capacity to turn ideas and plans into action. This can be achieved through multi-stakeholder processes (MSPs) and social learning.
The aim of this course is to provide participants with state-of-the-art knowledge and skills for different types of multi-stakeholder processes, practicing a broad range of participatory methodologies and tools. They are equipped to design an interactive learning process and to analyse the types of institutional change and support necessary for effective MSPs. Participants will apply this all directly for a week-long fieldwork.
