Unit: CD IC
Location: Wageningen

18 May - 12 June 2009.

In recent decades, consumers have become increasingly concerned about the safety and quality of their food. These concerns, combined with increased environmental awareness, have led to a need for sustainable agricultural production systems. Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) have become essential components of sustainable agriculture.

The training programme aims to enhance the participants’ knowledge and ability to identify and solve problems in:
(i) pesticide use within IPM to support food safety and environmental protection, including public and private (certification) standards.
(ii) IPM related to its enabling policies and institutions

The four-week training programme consists of two individual courses:

Course date Title Fee Application deadline non NFP funding
18/05-19/05 Pesticides and food safety in IPM € 1850 18/04/09
01/06 - 12/06 IPM policy and institutional innovations € 1850 20/03/09
