Supporting decentralised forest and nature management for rural development
The course covers state of the art thinking about adaptive management approaches and collaborative action at the local, district and regional level. It offers participants the opportunity to acquaint themselves with methodologies and approaches for action learning and how to apply these in the workplace. Critical analysis of the current developments and trends in introducing decentralised NRM practices are combined with development of leadership skills for change management. The course offers ample opportunity for sharing and mutual learning from participants' experience and includes a one week field practice.
The six-week training programme consists of two individual courses:
- Professional qualities for facilitation and collaboration in NRM
- Adaptive management tools & methods for sustainable NRM
