 The Dutch Ministry of Agriculturel, Nature and Food Quality and Wageningen UR (Alterra and the Agricultural Economics Research Institute) organize the conference 'Pressures on Prime Agricultural Land in Europe on 19 November 2008 in Brussels. The conference includes considerations of biomass production for food, fuel and industry, climate change, environmental concerns, urbanization, rural development and the world market'and it includes effects from policy. The European farmers and agri-cooperative organization COPA-COGECA is hosting the conference, aimed at policy makers, scientists and interest groups.
