Today, most greenhouses are characterized by a large dependence on fossil energy and high CO2 emissions. In 2006 a new “energy producing greenhouse” was opened in Huissen, the Netherlands. This experimental greenhouse is compensating its energy use on a yearly basis and is even expected to generate surplus renewable energy. What is the secret behind this energy producing greenhouse?

Join us on the 7th of May and visit the energy producing greenhouse in Huissen and find out all about current energy supply to greenhouses and the idea behind the energy producing greenhouse. Language: English. Costs: € 4.
