SEAFOODplus on Tour Conference
'A better life with seafood'

In 2004 the ambitious Integrated Research project SEAFOODplus started supported by the EU. SEAFOODplus is not a single project. It is actually a collection of twenty different projects covering many areas related to seafood and includes aspects of human health and nutrition, consumer’s behaviour and attitudes, seafood safety, product quality and product development, ethics in aquaculture and finally traceability of seafood products.
The challenge has been to integrate the research from so many disciplines. This integration has been successful and created many interesting new combinations of problem solving with contributions from more than two hundred researchers from all over Europe.
