The changing roles of support services fostering pro-poor, market-led development 

The refresher course on Local Economic Development (RCLED) intends to present and share experiences on new developments, concepts and innovative approaches to promote sustainable local economic development. In particular, it focuses on the capacities required to support processes that promote market-led local economic development by professionals and organizations alike operating in the support services and institutional environment.

This refresher course is intended for alumni from before August 2007 with NFP funding from Southern and Central Africa of the Wageningen International (and IAC) courses on:
    • Rural Microfinance (RMF)
    • Market Access for Sustainable Development (MASD)
    • Food Industry and Agribusiness (FIAB)
    • Food Processing (ICFP)
    • Participatory Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PPME)
and for
    • NFP Alumni of the MSc Social Sciences Studies
    • NFP Alumni of the Mansholt Graduate School of Social Sciences (MG3S)
