On 20 and 21 April 2009, Wageningen UR will organise the 13th QTL-MAS workshop. At this international meeting, European scientists from institutes, academic hospitals and plant and animal breeding companies will elaborate on the dissection of the genetic architecture of complex quantitative traits.
The annual QTL-MAS workshops present the latest mathematical and statistical methods for the analysis of molecular marker data and marker-assisted selection in plant and animal breeding programmes. The interaction between molecular and statistical scientists and animal and plant breeders has created a productive platform that offers practical improvements to breeding programmes.
Key topics at the 2009 edition of the workshop are genome-wide association studies, complex cross-breeding programmes and context dependencies. The workshop is co-organised by Biometris and Wageningen UR Plant Breeding. .jpg)
