How do we deal with the increasing scarcity of resources, impacting mainly on developing countries? The Evert Vermeer Student Symposium will focus on this issue on Saturday, November 20th in the Forum Building on the campus of Wageningen University. There are nine masterclasses on scarcity issues. Three of them are given by professors at Wageningen University.
Natural resources are rapidly depleted by a growing population (there are expected to be 9 billion people by 2050). Scarce resources will become more expensive and thus completely inaccessible to the poorest people in developing countries. How do we deal with that? That's the focus of the symposium, titled 'World of Plenty?'
