The Centre for Sustainable Development and Food Security of Wageningen UR will be launched on 20 May 2010 at LEI in The Hague from 14.45 – 17.00 hrs. Minister Gerda Verburg of the LNV Ministry will open the proceedings. The Centre aims to gather, broaden, and deepen the expertise within Wageningen UR in the field of sustainable development and food security in order to improve worldwide food security in a sustainable manner. The Centre is closely linked to other initiatives within Wageningen UR such as "Agro-production 21st Century.
