On September 1st, Dr. Jos van de Vooren, took up his position as Account Manager at the Representation Office Latin America of Wageningen University and Research Centre, located in Piracicaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He joins Dr. Peter Zuurbier who already started the office on 1st May, 2007.
Van de Vooren was agricultural attache at the Netherlands Embassy in Brasilia for five years until September 1st, 2007. Before that, he worked for five years at the Embassy in Saudi-Arabia, after having a career at DLO institutes in Wageningen.
Van de Vooren will focus his efforts on developing large research and capacity development programmes to be funded by multinational organisations and the private sector. His main geographical focus is on Brazil.
