The book Sustainable Land Management; Strategies to Cope with the Marginalisation of Agriculture presents and explores strategies to reverse the process of marginalisation of rural areas, looking at the economic viability of land, including the suitability for different land use options, giving consideration to the needs for environmental conservation.
This volume takes the reader beyond the established knowledge that marginalisation of land is occurring through agricultural marginalisation. Illustrative cases of the national and regional trends across European nations and Japan and the USA are presented, specifically looking at strategies for coping with marginalisation.
The volume is edited by Floor Brouwer (LEI) together with colleagues in the USA and Norway and is published with Edward Elgar.
