Wageningen alumna nominated for Most Powerful Woman Award

Wageningen graduate Aretha Aprilia has been nominated for Her World magazine's Most Powerful Woman Award in her home country of Indonesia.

 ‘Her World’ publiceerde een interview met Aretha, waarin zij vertelt over haar loopbaan en haar werk.

The magazine is a prestigious publication in Singapore with editions in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam; and it provides nearly 190,000 readers, mostly women, with news. Her World published an interview with Ms Aprilia in which she talks about her career and her work.

Aretha Aprilia, currently the Director of the Indonesia Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production at Surya University, graduated from Wageningen in 2005 with a degree in Urban Environmental Management.

Ms Aprilia was one of the speakers at an alumni event in Jakarta held on Friday 11 October 2013, where she gave an enthusiastic speech about developments in the area of waste water management. Ms Aprilia also spoke about her time at Wageningen, saying, 'This period shaped me into the professional environmental expert I am today.'
