Keynote speaker & Lunch lecture: Prof. Dr. Rosemary Gillespie, University of California Berkeley
Dr. Gillespie is a specialist on island biogeography and adaptive radiations on oceanic islands. Her research focuses on understanding eco-evolutionary patterns and processes among populations and species. We will discuss the eco-evolutionary processes of adaptation of populations and communities in response to changing environments. The speakers will highlight the possibilities of testing eco-evolutionary theories with model systems such as oceanic archipelago’s, marine lakes, rivers, limestone hills, as well as mathematical models. More details will follow in the coming weeks.
