Hannah was awarded by the Livestock Farming System Commission for her presentation entitled: How much animal-source food can we produce while avoiding feed-food competition?

The 67th Annual Meeting of the European Federation of Animal Science was held 29 August until 2 September 2016 in Belfast UK. In Session 6, Mixed farming systems - does diversity bring any benefits and at what scale?, Hannah presented her story on the role of animals in the increasing demand for food. She stated that animals can e.g. efficiently turn feed from marginal lands into useful proteins for human diet. In December the jury of the Livestock Farming Commission decided that she was being awarded.
