PPS staff reflects on the limits to growth.

Staff of PPS has been contributing to the booklet ‘Duurzame Derde Wereld’ (Eng: ‘Sustainable Third World’). In this booklet, multiple authors reflect on the question how sustainability can go hand in hand with industrial and infrastructural development. The authors deal with subjects such as land use, food security and energy and touch on themes like climate, overpopulation and the pollution of the environment.

Katrien Descheemaeker contributed with a chapter on sustainable intensification of agriculture. Maja Slingerland contributed with a chapter on competing claims on natural resources. Ken Giller was part of the editorial board.

The booklet is published in the first quarter of 2016 by ‘Stichting Biowetenschappen en Maatschappij’. The booklet is directly available via this link.
