Anke Brons is the new Junior Researcher at the Environmental Policy Group. Before coming to Wageningen, Anke did a bachelor (summa cum laude) in Liberal Arts and Sciences at University College Roosevelt in Middelburg, specializing in anthropology and law. Anke continued her studies with a Masters in International Development Studies (research variant) at Wageningen University, during which she wrote two master theses.

The first thesis consisted of a systematic literature review on food system governance and was published as a book chapter. The second thesis was written at ENP with prof. Oosterveer and concentrated on accessing sustainable food from a practice theoretical perspective. For this thesis she also conducted fieldwork in Paris through the French research institute INRA (‘Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique’; National Institute for Agricultural Research). It is within the subject matter of this second thesis that Anke will continue developing a PhD proposal as ENP Junior Researcher, under supervision of prof. Oosterveer. She will also assist in educational and management tasks in the chair group, including running one of the ENP thesis rings.
