The Center launched on March, 2013, and it is hosted by Management Studies Group under the direction of Dr. Domenico Dentoni and the coordination of Ms. Lavinia Plataroti. We, as GCFSI @ WUR, aim to develop a global learning and action network among universities, farmers, businesses, NGOs, civil society organizations and governments worldwide that:
I. Allows GCFSI researchers and outside stakeholders to learn from each other and jointly identify what are the most important questions to tackle and the most important actions to take;
II. Allows USAID to learn from the most important innovations from stakeholders worldwide and to consider applying them to its global food security strategies.
III. Facilitates the development of research and education projects with impact on food security and sustainable development.
A number of students and faculty members collaborate with us in education and research. For more information, please contact us.
