2nd floor WUR Library re-opens 7 September

August 29, 2017

On Thursday 7 September WUR Library will re-open its second floor after an extensive makeover.

The library was closed this summer to make several improvements, including:

  • More individual study places and group study rooms
  • New carpet and furniture and a wide variety of seating options
  • The accommodation of Wageningen in’to Languages and the Wageningen Writing Lab on the 2nd floor of the library

Library Services

When the library reopens, we’ll return to the regular opening hours in the evenings and weekends (Monday–Friday: 8am - 10pm, Saturday & Sunday: 10am - 6pm). Our lending desk is located on the 2nd floor. You can borrow and return books and dictionaries, pick up requested or reserved items, read newspapers and magazines and get assistance in searching for literature and ask other library-related questions.

New Library, new rules

Drinking from sealable bottles is allowed. Eating and snacking are only allowed outside the Library.

Wageningen in'to Languages and Wageningen Writing Lab inside the Library

As of 7 September you can also find Wageningen in’to Languages and the Wageningen Writing Lab on the 2nd floor of the library.

Library Makeover until October

The renovation work on the 3rd and 4th floor of the library is still ongoing. This means that the number of available study places is limited until the renovations are complete. Note that the ongoing renovation activities may cause some noise. The re-opening of the 3rd and 4th floor is scheduled for the beginning of October.

We’re excited about the re-opening of the library as an inviting and inspiring place for the WUR community. We hope to see you soon!
