Wageningen University & Research (WU) is expanding its open and online activities. It is also sharing its knowledge on online and open education with both enthusiasts and critics thrrough several activities during the Open Education Week 2017.
On March 28 from 12:00 – 13:00, you are invited to join the interactive lecture ‘Open Education at WUR’. The lecture will be given by Ulrike Wild in the Speakers Corner (Impulse). In her lecture, Ms Wild will tell you about the current situation from intention to reality: What has motivated Wageningen to join the coalition on Open Education and how do we translate that into policy, what are the university's current projects in which these ideas are brought to life and how do we see the future?
The Library invites you to join workshops on finding and sharing open educational content:
Finding Open Content for My Course
Open Educational Resources are any type of educational materials that are in the public domain or that are introduced with an open license. Open materials means that anyone can legally and freely copy, use, adapt and re-share these resources. In the workshop "Finding Open Content for My Course" we explain how to recognise and find “open content”
Mon., 27 March 2017, 15:30 – 16:30 in Forum room 031+034 (Conference room)
Sharing Your Course Material in the Library for Learning
Teaching is sharing. Sharing your course material is scary and takes some effort. There are different platforms exist to share course material. In the workshop "Sharing Your Course Material in the Library for Learning" we will discuss and demonstrate the Library for Learning. This platform is especially designed for teachers at Wageningen University & Research to find and share content.
Thu., 30 March 2017, 12:00 – 13:00 in Forum room 031+034 (Conference room)
Both workshops are open to all who teach and create educational material. The maximum number of participants for each workshop is 25. So sign up in advance by sending an email to Marianne.email@example.com
