To explore solutions for global migration streams

In the past decade, global displacement due to sudden (natural) disasters and crises and slow on-set events, has reached record levels. Numbers will increase even further, also because of ongoing climate change and related extreme natural events. One important question for the future is whether existing systems and structures in emergency assistance and disaster relief are able to cope with this development.

The complex challenges related to migration streams will benefit from an integrated, holistic approach. Combining different fields of expertise, that address cross-cutting themes, such as Climate Change, Sustainability, Environment, Security and Health. Together with you, we want to make a start in putting science into action and work towards long lasting positive impact, for the hosting communities and the displaced persons.

We invite you to share your thoughts and build with us the first outlines of a shared knowledge agenda with concrete coalitions and actions.
