Why follow this Summer School?

After attending the Summer School, you will:

  • Know the most relevant processes in protected cultivation ranging from plant physiology to economics
  • Understand how technology affects climate management, crop production and resource use efficiency
  • Be able to apply this knowledge to quantitatively address decisions about climate management, crop cultivation and nutrition
For me, participating in Summer School Greenhouse Horticulture 2022 was an extraordinary experience to enhance my insight about the last trends in the topic and to get in contact with world-class experts. It opened a world of possibilities of what can be adapted to be used in my own country to contribute to improve the way we produce our food.

I came to Wageningen Summer Greenhouse School as a novice without practical experience in greenhouse growing but a lot of interest in learning about it as much as possible. The course was excellent, concise and informative, packed with knowledge for all levels of expertise. It gave an overview of the most important aspects of greenhouse growing and therefore a stable grounding for further work. Overall, a useful and pleasant experience.
