Executive Board appoints new professor Urban Economics
Prof. Eveline van Leeuwen has been appointed as chair of the Urban Economics Group at Wageningen University & Research as per October 1, 2017. This has been decided by the executive board of Wageningen University & Research.
Prof.dr Eveline S. van Leeuwen (1978) graduated in 2002 at Wageningen University & Research at Land-use Planning (Spatial Planning). After finishing her PhD research under the supervision of Prof. Rietveld and Prof. Nijkamp at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam in 2008, she worked for several years as Associate Professor.
In her research in Wageningen Prof. Van Leeuwen will focus on the domain of Urban Economics with two key themes: Economics of sustainable urban consumption and healthy lifestyles, and on the topic Economics and policies of the urban-rural interface.
