PromovendusI am a marine ecologist with a keen interest in the biological productivity and functioning of marine ecosystems. My PhD is part of the project From Sea to Society, an initiative for a sustainable Low Trophic Aquaculture (LTA) chain providing functional proteins for human consumption. My goals are to model the biomass production from combined seaweed-mussel cultivation in offshore wind farms, and to assess the impact on marine ecosystem dynamics and carrying capacity, using Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) theory. I have a background in both biology and earth science with master's degrees in Ecology & Evolution (University of Groningen) and Palaeobiology (Uppsala University).
