At Sports Centre de Bongerd you can make use of a gym with the modernist equipment . The gym is open every day of the week. To make use of the gym you are obliged to be in possesion of:

  • Valid WUR Card
  • Sportrechten aan te schaffen
  • Fitness rights, which you can obtan fitness by following one of the four Fitness introduction courses below

Fitness introduction courses voor beginners

Fitness introduction courses for beginners are specially designed for sporters with little or no experience in a gym. In the introduction lessons you will learn you how to train with the cardio and power equipment in an effective and safe way. How to achieve your goals? Optional you can make use of a TechnoGym System key. The TechnoGym System key is loaded with your personal programme. All your gym performances will be registered onto your TechnoGym System key. Below you see the two options for beginners:

  • Fitness introcuction lesson with TechnoGym System key: at least 5 days prior to the start of the lesson, you hand in an introduction form and a TechnoGym System key at the receptiondesk of the SCB. You can purchase the TechnoGymkey for an amount of 10 euro at the receptiondesk. Of course there is a possiblity to hand in a secondhand key.  N.B. You are obliged to wear  sportsclothes, clean indoor sporting shoes and to bring a towel along with you!
  • Fitness introduction lesson without TechnoGym System key: N.B. You are obliged to wear  sportsclothes, clean indoor sporting shoes and to bring a towel along with you!

Fitness introduction courses for more experienced and advanced

  • Fitness introduction Free Weight Training: Have you been training at a gym over the past half a year on a weekly basis? Are you familiar with power machines or free weights​? Would you like to have instructions about a squat, pull up, shoulder press, push up/bench
    press? We have put together this introduction free weight training especially for you. Your instructors are
    qualified. The lesson will take up to 90 minutes. N.B. You are obliged to wear  sportsclothes, clean indoor sporting shoes and to bring a towel along with you!
    • Fitness introduction Kick Off: This lesson is specially designed for sporters who used a gym weekly in the past half year. You are familiar with cardio/power equipment or free weights. The lesson will take up to 30 minutes. Explanation of our methods will be discussed. N.B. You are obliged to wear  sportsclothes, clean indoor sporting shoes and to bring a towel along with you!
