About dr. D. Knegt (University of Amsterdam)
Daniël Knegt (Amsterdam 1984) is a lecturer in Modern History at the University of Amsterdam. He received his PhD from the European University Institute in Florence (Italy), with a dissertation on fascism, Europeanism and neoliberalism in French intellectual thought. He wrote a public history book (in Dutch) on the historical and present-day relevance of fascism, which was published within the Elementaire deeltjes series. His research interest include the history of propaganda, neoliberalism and fascism as a transnational phenomenon. Daniel likes trains, Italian food and ice skating on natural ice as soon as it's cold enough.
