Data Science Courses

Wageningen University & Research offers a wide selection of courses in different domains such as plant, animal, environmental, social and agrotechnology & food sciences. Research in these fields requires an increasing set of skills and knowledge in the field of big data and data science. An increasing number of courses with focus on data science is being offered by Wageningen University & Research.

Below we present a list of data science courses offered by various research groups for BSc and MSc students. In those courses students learn relevance and practical applications of data science in WUR domains.

From the academic year 2019/2020 this list is extended with 10 NEW data science courses. Data science courses may be chosen by students of all programs as a free choice. Moreover, from the academic year 2019/2020 13 MSc study programs included data science courses as tracks. These programs are: Biology, Geo-information Science, Bioinformatics, Biosystems Engineering, Nutrition and Health, Forest and Nature Conservation, Management Economics and Consumer Studies, Plant Sciences, Plant Biotechnology, International Development Studies, Environmental Sciences, Communication Health and Life Sciences, Earth and Environment.

BSc students can also choose to follow minor of Data Science
