On May 19, about 50 students from Wageningen, Delft and Utrecht gathered at the Institute for Sustainable Process Technology (ISPT) to participate in a 3 hour hackathon focused on the role of hydrogen in the energy transition.

All students are part of the Climate KIC Master Label and the event was organised by Lisa Ploum and Thomas Lans (ELS) together with Frans van den Akker (ISPT) and Bram Berkelmans (WUR student). The students worked in mixed teams on designing a serious game on hydrogen that would enable different stakeholders to engage with each other and learn from and with each other. All teams came up with different games and ideas and finally a winner was chosen by a jury consisting of Jorg Gigler (TKI gas), Ralf Wigboldus (game designer) and Frans van den Akker (ISPT).

The winning game will be developed further and used in practice. It was a wild, energetic, fun and fruitful evening! The short movie below gives an overview of the evening.
