Orange Knowledge Programme October deadline postponed

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nuffic have announced that the next scholarship round of the Orange Knowledge Programme (October 2020 deadline) is on hold for the moment. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has indicated to make some programme adjustments to the Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) to create more focus and impact for the remaining programme period. Nuffic is in close contact with the ministry on the desired adjustments and the implications they might have on the programmes.

Update 27-11-2020: Provisional dates OKP round 3

Based on the provisional information available to date, you can apply for the following online courses open to OKP scholarships between 2 december 2020 - 4 january 2021. You can already apply for the courses via the orange apply button on the course page. After application, you will be informed about the next steps by e-mail. The country list has recently changed in order to achieve more focus in the programme. Check the OKP country list for the eligible countries.

What does it mean?

It means that the upcoming short courses scholarship round of the Orange Knowledge Programme, which usually opens on September 2 for applicants from the OKP countries remains closed for the moment. All preparatory actions are put on hold.

Are the OKP scholarships cancelled? 

No, regarding the latest information the upcoming scholarship round has been postponed until further notice. Nuffic has indicated to trust that the full range of adaptations will become clear in September. Please check our website regularly for the latest updates. 

Can I still apply for a scholarship?

Even though the OKP scholarship deadline is on hold for the moment, we advise you to still apply for short courses in the October deadline via the orange apply button on the course pages. Make sure to register for one of our courses in order to receive updates about the scholarships.

What if I am eligible for the MENA scholarship? 

If you live and work in one of the countries eligible for the MENA Scholarship Programme, then the original dates still apply. Your application for the scholarship can be entered in Delta between September 2nd and October 6th. Make sure to register for one of our courses in order to receive your Delta registration link on September 2nd. 

I already have received an OKP scholarship. Can I still participate in the course? 

Yes, the decision to put the Orange Knowledge Progromme on hold doesn’t affect scholarships which have already been granted. If the course cannot take place on location, WCDI will shift to distance learning solutions. Participants will be informed about this.
