Danny Taufik works at Wageningen University and Research and holds a PhD in Environmental Psychology, a MSc in both Social Psychology and Marketing and a BSc in Business Economics. He has extensive experience in conducting consumer research with a focus on behaviour change in the sustainability domain. He has participated in projects on for instance plant-based food consumption, energy conservation in households, reduction of plastic waste, and bio-based packaging. His expertise is in quantitative consumer research methods, such as (field) experiments/ behavioural interventions and survey studies. His work has been published in journals such as Nature Climate Change, Trends in Food Science & Technology, Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Environmental Psychology, and Energy Research & Social Science and has been covered in various media outlets such as the Huffington Post, The Telegraph and Boston Globe. Furthermore, he has won the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) Best Dissertation Award 2016 and IAAP Best Paper Award 2015 for his research.
