Lenny van Bussels research focusses on relation between farm level production practices, landscape configuration and ecosystem services, as well as on the spatial and temporal scales of these ecosystem services flows.
Previously she worked as a postdoctoral research associate at Wageningen University and Research (Plant Production Systems), as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Bonn, Germany, and as a researcher at RIKILT, Institute of Food Safety, Wageningen University.
Lenny holds master degrees in Forest and Nature Conservation and Earth System Science, both from Wageningen University. In October 2011 she received a doctorate in crop modelling from Wageningen University, with a thesis entitled: From field to globe: Upscaling of crop growth modelling.
