Environmental and economic impacts of production strategies in laying hens:

Focussing on the resilience of layers and their role in a circular food system, the environmental and economic impact of different breeding and feeding strategies in laying hens is assessed.

The role of animals in a circular food system:

By gathering data from animal production systems worldwide, we aim to get a better understanding of the global role of animal production. This will enable us to identify viable opportunities for the livestock sector to adapt to the challenges they face (e.g. economical, environmental). It is our aim to secure the sustainable development of animal production systems within a global food system. For more information see:
