Project EDUCEN Closing conference in Dordrecht (NL)

On March 29 in The Meeting House in Dordrecht the closing conference of Educen took place. EDUCEN is an international project of Wageningen University and the Dutch Defense Academy.

EDUCEN examined how local history, knowledge and social networks can be utilized in reducing damage from natural disasters. Dordrecht is one of seven cities where EDUCEN targets. ''The situation in Dordrecht is very exciting, and unlike other cities. This is mainly because the city is very committed to citizens about what they should do at high tide.'', says Jeroen Warner, coordinator of EDUCEN. The final conference will run until March the 30th.
