Jelle Moree (1995) is a PhD candidate within the EARTHWORK project of the Soil Geography and Landscape group (promotor: prof. dr. Jakob Wallinga, co-promotor: dr. Roy van Beek).

He obtained both his BSc (Hons) and MSc in the earth sciences at Utrecht University (faculty of Geosciences) (MSc thesis), while he got his MA in archaeology at Leiden University (MA thesis). Throughout his studies and now also during his professional career he has been fascinated by human-landscape interactions - both in the past as well as in the present and future.

Before his current position, Moree was affiliated with Utrecht University (department of Physical Geography) as a junior researcher of palaeogeographic cartography (2020) and as a field assistant with archaeology and heritage services companies RAAP (2017) and BAAC (2019).
