In the role of research and education officer, I supervise students in multiple courses (e.g., ACT, theses, internships) and I work on a diverse set of research projects:
WetFutures. A project concerning wetlands in Ireland, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. This transdisciplinary research addresses the challenges of physical, social and environmental change that wetlands are facing. Personally, I research how people are currently perceiving six different raised bogs in the Netherlands. In addition, I collect publicly available datasets of cultural hertiage in the trilaterial Wadden Sea Region and create a spatial overview. Read more.
Pathways 2022. In October 2022, together with Colorado State University, GEO will organise the conference Pathways Europe 2022: Human Dimensions of Wildlife Conference. Our mission is to increase professionalism and effectiveness in the Human Dimensions of Wildlife Management field. Read more.
Veluwe Kennisagenda. In this project we will create an overview of what relevant issues and questions different stakeholders have regarding the Veluwe. We give insights into what knowledge gaps exist. We bring stakeholders together with researchers within WUR and show what European subsidies are available to tackle shared issues.
