Dr. ir. J. (Jeroen) Kals, (PhD), researcher at Wageningen Livestock Research, has extensive experience in aquaculture in general and fish nutrition in particular, processing of fish and fishery by-products. He has worked at different institutes within Wageningen Research for over 18 years. Currently, his main field of interest is fish nutrition, focusing on the nutritional value of (alternative) ingredients, the development of species-specific feed formulations, novel additives, resource use efficiency and food security.
