On Saturday June 23rd, Wageningen University & Research (WUR) will conduct a unique live worldwide dialogue as part of its year-long centennial celebration: the WURld Dialogue. We invite everyone living in or near Washington D.C. to participate in this dialogue, to enhance the high-level of expertise to address the challenges of assuring adequate food supplies for people living in megacities.
The theme of the dialogue is: “Access to Healthy Food in Metropolitan Cities”. We encourage you to think of the most positive and concerning developments you see around supply chain, waste streams and nutritious foods; the perceptions and prejudices among the general public that might hinder food security; innovations and (drastic) measures which will be necessary to come to solutions.
