23 March - 12:30-13:00 | Let’s slow down a bit together for the coming half hour and let’s consider a question that concerns making vs taking. A question that lies at the heart of why a lot of people feel superfluous, lonely and depressed.
During the Corona crisis, people with a so-called vital job were called our heroes. But now, with the first shock long gone, these and other people fade silently into the background.
This background contains many other people like volunteers, people caring for a sick family member, couch potatoes, people with social security or minimum wages.
During this 30 minute workshop that is facilitated by a student, a teenager and an elderly person, we will pose and discuss 5 questions that relate to value creation. Looking at the crisis this world is in, we think it is very important to rethink and debate value. Who are our current value creators, what do we call productive, which activities do we see as productive and therefore others as unproductive? Why? Because a definition of value determines how we measure growth, which sectors we invest in, who we look up to, inclusiveness in society, and how much we are renumerated as employees.
