Do you want to learn how to develop a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)? Follow hands-on workshops? Win a chance to create your own MOOC? Take up the challenge and join the MOOC Challenge!
For the second time the department Online Learning of Wageningen University & Research, in collaboration with the Education and Learning Sciences Group (ELS) and support of WUR Student Challenges, organises the MOOC Challenge.
We invite students to come up with ideas for a new MOOC. You will form teams and work in a interdisciplinary group of students on a storyboard design. The winning team can put their ideas into practice and develop a completely new MOOC in the following academic year. With online education being the future, this is great to add to your resume. Bonus: you will get 6 ECTS upon successful completion of the Challenge, the course is included in the study handbook: MOOC Development ELS59306.
The Challenge is open to all MSc students and 2nd and 3rd year BSc students. There is room for max. 25 participants, so be fast!
Note: For now, all activities are planned to be online. Depending on the Covid situation, some activities might become on campus.
The course is scheduled as an afternoon course in P5. About once or twice a week there will be a physical or online meeting. The rest of the time will consist of group work, feedback or coaching session to be scheduled in in collaboration with the group and teachers.
