Rembrandt. One of the world’s most renowned artists. A rebellious trail blazer, his style flabbergasted contemporaries. Just over 350 years after his death, his work continues to inspire and mesmerize.

Tonight we focus on his drawings. What makes his work so genius and his drawings so vivid? Under the guidance of the Rembrandt expert Nina Rave, we will experience hands-on what it means to draw from real life and without preconceived ideas. In this interactive lecture you can develop insights into Rembrandt’s drawing techniques and his approach to capturing life as he saw it. What was his secret? How do such insights play a role in experts’ assessments of whether a drawing is a real Rembrandt, or not?  Bring your sketch books, paper and pencils and practice how to draw like Rembrandt, in two hours.
