Wageningen University and Research participates in the exchange program of the European Union, called Erasmus+. On this page you can find some information about this program.
Wageningen University participates in the exchange program of the European Union (Erasmus+). Based on this program you can visit a large number of universities in the programme countries. Next to this, you can apply for a grant for both study exchange aswell as for doing an (compuslory or voluntary) internship/thesis in the programme countries (both during your studies ánd after graduation).
Once you are back in Wageningen after an Erasmus+ exchange the student administration will integrate the grades you obtained abroad in the Dutch system. Because within the European Union a standard grade conversion system was agreed upon, this is an easy procedure.
Wageningen University also has exchange agreements with non-EU universities, but exchange to these countries is not part of the Erasmus+ programme (and no grant or travel allowance is provided by through the study abroad office). Other options for studying abroad can be found here.
The programme countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey & United Kingdom. (NOTE: Switzerland is not in the programme)
In the Erasmus Charter and Policy Statement you can get more information about the Erasmus agreement for Higher Education and the rights and regulations of students participating in the Erasmus+ program.
