Organizing your exchange period for study (courses or thesis)

Wageningen University has many partner universities for student exchange. The number of available places differs per university, in total there are over 500 places available.

The amount of students that we can send to a partner university differs per agreement, for this reason we have a selection procedure to allocate the available places to the students that wish to study abroad.

Please find below the step by step procedure that you should follow when you wish to go abroad for study and participate in the selection procedure.

Step 1: Orientation

Why do you want to go study abroad? Is it the academic challenge - getting specific knowledge that is unique and building a network that is a good addition to your CV? Or is it for social reasons - spending some time with family abroad, getting to know a different culture, finding out if you would like to work in another country after graduation? Make it clear for yourself, this will narrow the options.
