This online course is designed for professionals responsible for and/or interested in reefer transport of fresh products in temp controlled cargoes e.g. fruits, meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, dairy and non-food products e.g. flowers and pharmaceuticals. Both technical and non-engineering educated professionals can join this course.
Programme and topics
The course gives participants an in-depth understanding of:
- Using refrigerated transport to full effectiveness
- Thermodynamics principles of refrigeration systems
- Insights in advanced conditioning technologies
The programme combines virtual classroom and interaction sessions with in between self-paced study blocks.The self-study learning materials incl. 5 hrs. of pre-recorded weblectures from Wageningen University & Research experts, knowledge clips, virtual visit a reefer container, course discussion platform for fellow student interaction and self-tests of the learned concepts. The duration of the total programme is 8 hours spread over the total period. Participants can follow this online course in the same pace. Together you will explore the future challenges and opportunities of this specialised form of transport.
