One month has already passed since my arrival in Spain, but there are still so many things I want to do and see! Even though I have to work at the university every day, there is plenty of time in the weekends to go on nice trips and visit some beautiful places.
A few weeks ago I visited the hot springs of ‘Montanejos’ and this weekend it was time for a more active trip: a hiking journey through the Spanish mountains. A bus drove us to the national park of ‘Sierra d’Irta’, a few hours away from Valencia, where we started our hiking expedition! With a group of fifty Erasmus students we walked and climbed our way to the top of a mountain on small and steep pathways, while meeting new people and enjoying each other’s company. When we reached the top, at an elevation of approximately 600m, we took a break to enjoy the view and have a lunch. After 15 km and five hours of hiking, our trip ended when we reached the beach, were we took a refreshing dive in the sea. Even though at the end we could feel our feet, it was a great day, and I am already looking forward to the next trip!
