Scholarships and costs

On this page you can find an overview of the participation costs and other costs you can expect while participating in the EM-SANF programme. EM-SANF is a 2-year MSc programme. For students starting in August 2016, participation costs were €4,000 per year for EU students and €8,000 per year for non-EU students. Some suggestions to find a scholarship to finance your study are indicated at the bottom of this page.

The EM-SANF programme was supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The Erasmus+ programme is a higher education programme which promotes the European Union as a ‘centre of excellence’ around the world. The programme supports European top-quality master's courses and enhances the global image of European higher education. The programme provides easier access to postgraduate education for university students from all over the world.

Participation costs

For academic year 2017-2018, the participation costs are not yet known. Last year the participation costs (€4,000 or €8,000 per year) include the following:

  • Your participation costs to the Introduction Programme at Wageningen University (excluding accommodation)
  • The tuition fees for both year 1 and year 2
  • Your participation to the Summer Conference at Wageningen University (excluding accommodation)
  • Your participation to the Graduation Ceremony at Wageningen University (excluding accommodation)
  • Administrative support

The participation costs do not cover costs for travel, living and housing. This means you need to count on an amount of approximately €1,000 per month for the total duration of the programme (24 months). You will need this money for living (food, study books, other expenses), housing (room rent during the programme) and travel (to and from Europe, travel between host universities).

Tuition fees

EU-students can make use of existing Erasmus-Socrates exchange programmes and receive a discount on the tuition fees and pay €2,000 per academic year/ €4,000 for the whole programme.
Non EU-students receive a discount on the tuition fees and pay €6,000 per academic year/ €12,000 for the whole programme.
